Hi,
Depending on the menu (they definitley vary from restaurant to restaurant) you should be ok...but we tried to make sure we chose buffet meals when we could for two reasons. 1) the amount of food and selection would be easier ( at a bufet there are "children's" selections but they can chose from the whole buffet; they are not restricted to any specific choices) and 2) most buffets are with characters.
