Hi everyone! I'm new here. Joined just for fun and because I'm so bored!

I've been to WDW twice and am planning to go again sometime this year. I have been to WDL in Anaheim as well. While on that topic, it brought up a VERY old memory of a tough assignment I had in advertising class in college. To my surprise, there was supposed to be a Disneyland in Washington DC but some stupid anti-Disney group managed to kill the project. I believe the campaign was named "Disney take a second look." I remember how messed up these people were. They seemed to just hate anything Disney related. What a tragedy. They fabricated statistics and claimed that the taxpayers would literally be on the streets begging if DC Disneyland became a reality. Their campaign succeeded much to my outrage. Does anyone know the name of this group or who started it? Also, has there been any talk lately about opening up a third park anywhere else in the US? Texas would be a great spot. It's centrally located. It would free up the HUGE crowds in Florida and California. There's plenty of elbow room. Weather is a bit better than Florida with less rainfall. Better, if someone was from Oklahoma or Missouri, for example, they probably wouldn't have to sit and wonder whether to fly east or west to avoid the crowds. I remember my last visit to WDW and I didn't enjoy it much because my dad picked the worst, I mean the worst time to go. It was so crowded that I spent more than two thirds of my time waiting in line or fighting through crowds. As a result, my second trip isn't easily remembered because, honestly, I didn't enjoy it. You know you're having a bad day at WDW when you see a jet ski rental park out in the Keys and beg your parents to take you there instead and that was the only great memory I had from my last Florida vacation.
